When adding new users into your Teams Ideas portal, it’s best to understand the 3 possible ways.

The first option is to invite by email which is the best way to add a small group of users, then Invite by link which is best to use if inviting a larger group of users, and lastly, invite by domain which is the best way if trying to add everyone within your organization.

To invite by e-mail address, simply separate each address by a comma or another separator of your choice. You can also easily copy/paste a list of e-mails from Excel, Word, or even from an outlook message and paste it to the field and the system will automatically recognize and separate each email.

With this option you can simultaneously select user groups to rapidly assign to those users. Keep in mind that if users are ever not added into any groups, then the default user group will automatically be set to Idea Creators, which is the lowest permission level.

The second option is to invite by link which is another way you can choose to invite users to your portal. This helps when wanting to easily share an access link or a great way to invite external users such as customers or vendors that are outside of your organization.

If the link is removed, you will receive a notification saying the current link will be invalid once you click OK. That means users will no longer be able to register within your portal through that link. Don’t worry though, there is always a possibility to create another link and pass it on to a new group of users.

Invite by Domain is the last option and the best way to invite everyone from your organization. You can add any number of domains that will be using the same portal.

Just a note that for the Invite by Link and Invite by Domain options, the way to confirm registration and access your login page is always by typing app.teamsideas.com/your-portal-name. Both of these registration options will automatically assign users to the default permission level of Idea Creators.
